Pretending to be African in Western Uganda.

Shelling beans in Western Uganda. When the people in the village noticed I was hardworking by doing this they told me I was ready to get married. That weekend I received two marriage offers - one from an old man who has too many cows to count and who will love me until Lake Victoria dries and another offer to be a second wife. I declined both with a firm "neda."

Some women in the traditional clothes of the Baganda tribe at the wedding I attended last weekend in Western Uganda (Kabale).

Taxi (bus) Park in Kampala. According to my Lonely Planet guide, this is the craziest taxi park in the world and I think this picture shows why. Luckily the stage I usually take is easy to find.
